Here are some links which have been invaluable in my research and great learning tools.  Check back often I'll be adding Hope they're helpful to you.


General Genealogy
  • The New England Historic Genealogical Society An invaluable resource for anyone doing New England research.  You may explore some areas for free but a membership is required for full access to the their treasure trove of information.
  • FamilySearch A free site provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, allows the researcher to find records and books from all over the world.  You can also give back by transcribing records for them.
United Kingdom
  • The National Archives of the United Kingdom Ancient records and wills from the UK, may of which may be purchased and downloaded immediately.
  • British History Online  Maps and papers of historical importance plus so much more.  Created by the Institute of Historical Research and the History of Parliament Trust. 
  • Sussex Online Parish Clerks  Parish birth, death and marriage records, along with wills and Sussex County census records. Links to other county Online Parish Clerks can also be found here.
Indiana
  • Porter County, IN GenWeb Steven Shook has done a beautiful job providing incredible amounts of information that's easy on the eye.
  • Northwestern Indiana Genealogical Society  Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana.
  • Ainsworth, Indiana Beautifully written blog about the area my ancestors settled in Lake County, IN.  Brings a smile to my face when I read all the historical stories of the county that will always be home to me.
Illinois
  • Cook County Online Instant way to purchase and download birth, death and marriage certificates from the Cook County, IL Clerk's office.
